I decided to make my pinhole camera out of a Pringles can and I adjusted the
focal length to approximately 3 inches long. I took three photos and each photo
turned out over exposed. My first photo was a picture taken of a flower, when I
took this photo I left the shutter open for 15 seconds the picture turned out
black and was over exposed. My second photo I took a picture of shoes and held the
shutter open for 10 seconds, the picture was black with light spots and was
over exposed. For my third photo I took a picture of the front of the school
and shortened the shutter time again based on the 2 previous over exposed
photos. This time I kept the shutter time to only 5 seconds and the photo still
turned out over exposed.
In my photo you can see a faint image in the back ground. At the top right
corner of the photo you are able to distinguish the windows at the front of the
school, you can also faintly see the steps and railing if you look closely. I
now know if I were to take a fourth photo I should shorten my shutter time even
more to 2-3 seconds. I enjoyed taking photos with the pinhole camera although I
wish my photos turned out better but I know now what I would do differently.
